"When the children were about to start talking, it was so exciting; it was clear that it would happen but one was never quite sure what would pop out next. Having the garden is a bit the same. It will be great watching things develop and mature and I am sure it will all get lovelier as the seasons turn. It was wonderful to come back from our holidays to see everything so tidy and full of promise.

Thank you so much for all your hard work, for being so receptive and creative and for taking such care in the building and planting. We are very grateful."

Mini-allotment and lazy garden in Central London

The garden Sim designed and created for me was exactly what I wanted and asked for. He responded sensitively to the few vague ideas I had - wanting an area to grow vegetables, something to divide the space up and a place to hang my hammock! To this, Sim brought his own little touches such as a sedum roof and using beautiful wooden sleepers to create the raised vegetable bed and edge the lawns.

The work was then done on time and, importantly for me, on budget, with every care taken to minimise household disruption.

I am writing to thank you for transforming our wild, rambling jungle into a beautiful, practical garden. The end result is fantastic and we are very pleased.

The whole process from beginning to end was a joy rather than a chore due to your excellent planning, communication and efficiency in carrying out the work. Every step of the way went smoothly and we were incredibly impressed at how hard you and Matt worked - regardless of the weather!

It was lovely to find someone with such impressive thoroughness and attention to detail, and also someone who replied to our queries and calls immediately and comprehensively, even after the work was finished.

Pricing was very competitive and the standard of work was incredibly high. I would have no hesitation in recommending a Piece of Green to anyone wanting a friendly, efficient and expert garden design and maintenance company.

I have a one bedroomed flat in a busy area in north London which used to have a semi-derelict front garden measuring about 3x4metres. Being in the state it was it seemed to be used as the area rubbish bin and people would walk past and just drop litter in it.

Sim's brief was given a free hand to do whatever he wanted the only criteria being that it looked good and was easy to maintain. He succeeded in both these objectives. I now have a lovely wooden latticed fence with a custom sized gate, a weeping cheery tree that blooms beautifully in spring and a number of shrubs and plants that require almost no upkeep.

As a result of the transformation the garden is no longer used as a rubbish tip, and many of the neighbours complement me on the beautiful garden and want to know who did it. For the effect created, and being used to paying out for other services in London, I thought Sim was fantastic value and now I have a large garden in Suffolk, I'm trying to persuade him to design that too.

I'd have no hesitation in recommending Sim to a friend, and it was a friend who recommended his services to me.

Sim Flemons worked on our garden at the back of the community hall. This will be developed as an under fives play area.
With a small budget, he was able to create the beginnings of a little haven for the younger members of the community.

Sims was able to share our vision and make the first steps to making it a reality. Sim also was able to involve the children in the process. His little helpers took great pride in clearing, digging and planting the new garden.

This has not only given the children a chance to contribute to the improvement of our local environment but has given them memories they otherwise wouldn't have had.

Thanks Sim!
